Tommy Cooper – after that depressing loss to Newcastle, only old skool comedian Tommy Cooper could relieve the pain.

MLB World Series – It went down to game 7 – with San Fransisco Giants travelling to Kansas City Royals – the Giants aiming for their third World Series in 5 years, while the Royal desperate to win their first one since 1985.

In the end the Giants won a tense match 3-2.
